Hi! My name is Raegan Babb, and I love all things literature, shopping when I don’t need anything, and last but certainly not least, my Goldendoodle Lucy! I provided a little bit of my background with my time in college and why I chose to pursue education. You can read more about that in the “About Me” section at the top of the home page.
So why English Language Arts? Well, in school I always loved English and looked forward to reading novels, writing papers, and having classroom discussions about characters or themes and ideas within a story. English Language Arts has something to offer everyone! I really started to love the subject when I was in my 8th grade English teacher’s class. She presented the subject with such inspiration and awe. She treated each new story and assignment with excitement that was real. When I started college, my English professor had the same excitement and passion for the subject that I saw in my 8th-grade teacher. I knew I wanted to reciprocate this same energy for my future students. I will always be appreciative of teachers who are excited to teach and want to use their content to help students learn and grow. My college professor told me “Literature increases your quality of life.” I want to increase my student’s quality of life and help them approach literature in a fresh and exciting way.
